Controller Configuration

Post by PitViper177 »

Hi,

New guy with a noob question: When configuring the controller is there a way I can use the "analog" stick to steer? As in the regular left side stick is for forward acceleration and the other is for left and right?

I guess because I haven't played for so long I'm also looking for the best/most basic controller config. I know this is going to come down to preference but I see things like "hardline"? Geez..I forgot what half of these commands are! I'll get there!

I'm a light sleeper and I got my ears on 24/7...thanks in advance and I'll see ya real soon. I'm 10-10 on the side, over n out.

Well, us crusty vigs all swear by our Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro USB joysticks...they're infinitely predictable.

Rumor has it GrizZz and Ride are using the new Logitecs with great success, too.

That being said, I'm not familiar with any game pads that let you bind X/Y to a single toggle, unless you're using it for the POV.

That doesn't mean it's not possible, it's just not anything I've heard of anyone looking into.

I think what I have is pretty much a ghetto version of the Sidewinder.

Thanks for the response. I'm sure I can configure something...that will help my game play 0%.

Rest assured, any controller with a functioning X/Y axis and two working buttons will make you *SIGNIFICANTLY* better than using a keyboard unless that's all you had back in the day.

We'll be firing up the TNE in about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Try and swing by.
