Best Glide Wrapper

Post by GuyFawkesGaming »

What's the most recommended Glide wrapper for i76. I know current gog releases utilize OpenGLide (there's a config file included with the download), but there's also Nglide and DGvoodoo. What do you recommend?

I like nGlide 'cause it works well with my setup but a lot of the other kids are groovin' on DGVooDoo...

Go with what's easiest to install and configure since all that really matters is not playing in 8-bit like D1VER...

What about for a cheap Dell laptop with a GeForce GT 540M?

Well...you're in luck 'cause I happen to be the king of cheap Dells...

I use nGlide and nVidia Inspector with a custom profile for Nitro...

...that way I can crank up the frame buffers (up to 8) and chop the framerate (down to 24).

Give it a try and let us know what you think.

If you need a test game hosted go ahead and PM Wayek or myself.

nGlide : should work good, ask Lightfoot for details
dgVoodoo:work fine, but you can't use Flamethrower. aspect ratio is stretched 16:9 or native 4:3

I use both 8/16bit....but I like the atmospher of 8bit.
I'm using nVidia GeForce 7600GS Ultra, nGlide will not work with my video card.
It is the reason why I use dgVoodoo(+RMClock). I have no choice.

Most recommended? umm Try gog's first to know how it work with i76.
and let us know.
