Windows 98 vs Windows 98SE

Post by KIV 6051 [SH] »

I lost my installation of Windows 98 when I upgraded my processor, but since I'm planning on doing some formatting and rearranging anyway I decided I'd bust out my new copy of Windows 98SE. Is there any differences in how the Interstate games behave between 98 and 98SE? This is something I wanted to look into before I went ahead and installed it.

Hmm...I'm not quite sure, I've never tried 98SE myself. It probably has the same API and stuff as 98 though, and that would make I76 or Nitro work on it.

Go 98SE or don't go 98 at all...

So there shouldn't be any networking differences that will get in the way? The thing is that I know that very little is different between the two Windows versions except some networking stuff and minor things here and there. I just didn't want to shoot myself in the foot.
Edit: does anyone know if too much memory crashes Windows 98SE as it does Windows 98?
