Well, you technically don't need either of the patched EXE to play the missions, boss...

They're mostly for on-line play so I've you've got something else to limit your framerate (FRAPS, nVidia Inspector, DXTory, et. al.) all you need to do is swap EXE's when you want to play the scenarios.

Fair point, but considering that fiddling with the control panel is a pain do you think you can make a future patch that is cd free from the campaign? Also, I think I speak for all of us when I say we're too lazy to swap exes around when we want to change game modes.

There are a couple features we're looking for in "final" patch and the No CD feature wasn't on the list.

I'82 has a No CD crack I think...maybe someone should take a peek at that?

I might also be possible to use those cd cracks I linked earlier. The only problem is they require an older than shit copy of windows to work (already tried DOSBox, they're windows binaries just 16-bit). Maybe someone who still has a working windows 98 machine could patch the 30 fps exe and upload it here?

Bad news, the cd cracks likely would't have worked even if I used them. Just look at this. If you want I could just upload my original GOG executable for you guys to reverse engineer, well assuming someone still wants to play trip. Also is the I76shell.dll Mission 13 crash still an issue (see here?

I know I've been a pain in the ass with the stuff lately but, I notice the router patch on Shane's site is the same as the Patch III on this site other then the inclusion of what appear to be components of Patch II (possibly Patch I or a mix of both). What exactly do those components do? You said they were beta, did you patch them? I understand you're not a 20 questions help desk but I'd really like to know.

Dude...WTF are you on?

Seriously.

You didn't know that the registry keys weren't necessary for the game, you're editing EXE's to fix mis-labled DLL's and now you want a post-mortem on the patches?

No.

Please stop asking for paid-level support from technicians working for free on topics you don't understand.

Acid

But seriously, sorry dude. I'm not trying to piss you off, just want to take notes for comparing to the gog version. You don't have a changelog included with your download. I'm also I'm not too well experienced with this OS, but that doesn't mean I can't learn. Yes I know that sounds typical and corny, I'll try not to make a mess of things.
