Back and Ready to Ride!

Hey hey I'76ers,

Dropshot here. I used to play the snot out of this game back in 98-99 on Mercnet.*. I loved those times. I've got to see if I can get a version of this running on my Windows 7 laptop.

Anyone have any recent luck with the GoG version? Sadly my old CDs are long gone (though I've found the soundtrack and its really bringing back some memories!).

So glad to see this place still hopping!

The GoG version of Arsenal is 100% compatible with Nitro Patch III and has been tested through Windows 8.1.

:D

Go ahead and get it installed (by conventional means), then head over to the Tech Support forum and follow the links.

You'll find everything we've dug up for limiting the framerate down to 60 *AND* the super handy ZIP with all the Nitro maps from LSM in one handy install.

Hit us up for a game if you're out and about early.

Elsewise, we're *ALWAYS* on BATTLEZONE1.COM on Tuesdays at 7:00 Pacific.

See you on the road!

Oh, I forgot to ask: Did you get the message we weren't dead from Yahoo! Groups?

If you run into any issues this afternoon shoot me a PM and we'll see if ol' Light' can't help you sort it out.

I'm taking an office day today, trying to make sure a scheduled webinar goes off tomorrow morning at 10:00 without a hitch.

Tex, Wing' and I would love to see you there!

We've been starting with "Ruins" until you die and then moving on to some races.

The last few weeks have devolved into combat enduro racing...which has been *AWESOME*!

See you there!

Hey hey,

I am on tonight, but I'm trying to mod my car to get around the restricted weapons of the hosted game.

Sadly on my machine, if I try to mod the car and rejoin the game, it crashes. So I have to exit the game and rejoin the server each time.

Eventually I'll get my car modified. ;)

Hey!

We switched to some good ol' fashioned combat at Vigilante's Paradise.

Bring your favorite tank and let's get jiggy!

mine too dropshot, i have to exit game for any car adjustment or change anything. dont know why.

on that map we were on, the ruins, you need small guns to shoot through buildings in the way. usually racing has no weapons. so all weapons restricted except 30 cal mg.

anyhow we are now on a little map for combat , come on back.

Oh...

The car mod crash is probably because the game doesn't have proper write rights to your Program Files (x86) directory.

Add the Everyone group to the Activision folder and give it full control. Make sure that the subdirectories inherit the rights from the parent folder.

Hopefully, this makes sense.

Hey!
