Re: The Tuesday Night Event!

Hey, sorry I had to dip after 2 and a half maps...

I was pretty faded after wheelin' through the forest service roads on the way back from the cabin yesterday.

I'm glad to see you guys racked up 4 more maps after I left.

I'll do better next time!

Re: The Tuesday Night Event!

I'm a little late on the draw getting back from the hills but we'll have an event tonight for sure.

Catch you in an hour and a half!

Re: Sunday Drivers!!

Do I want to know what was going on last night? No post so I figured no event (or an unscheduled host) and then there's a game with a password? How's this: Next time I see a password on a game during a regularly scheduled event and no post (IM, email or otherwise) as to how to join that game I will ...

Re: Turkey Shoot tonight!

It's real easy to ban them.

You just have to be OK with booting your friends from a dead game to make the point, though.

...oh, and if you don't choke the Loadmaster down there's no way the shooters can catch it unless the driver really, really sucks.

Re: Turkey Shoot tonight!

Turkey Shoots were hard to organize back when there were still Activision ANET servers and dozens of players... Now, with the limited player pool and lack of interest in the forums it makes it nearly impossible. It's hard to have people on the same page if they don't bother reading about the event. ...

Re: The Friday Night Feh!

Not to tell you how to run your event but it would be easier to manage your "shooters" if you pinned them to a D5 budget for the Strider and had Nitrace running. You may also want to ban droppers to keep things sane if you're not going to use a locked down variant. I'm not saying I know so...

Re: Turkey Shoot tomorrow!

In the past I'd typically allow the Ball O' Flame for the shooters and whatever the tanker wants to load out with...

...but this is not my event.

I'd be hip to giving this a try with you tomorrow if I don't end up at the cabin. Then again, there was a PC and a stick there last time I left.

Re: The Tuesday Night Event!

The server is stable and the ZGLIDE.DLL replacement is available on the Tech Support forum. Thanks. *** Looks like I missed the opportunity to babble about the TNE in that reply. Then again, I didn't think we were in this thread. So, in about 9 hours from now I should have a plan of what we'r...

Re: Map palette update: Wonderland

You're welcome!

It's a little congested at the starting line for 6 of us but all-in-all I think changing the palette "saved" the map.

It's fairly well executed though the object type (non-permanent bridges) may get it put back on the shelf.

Time will tell.

Map palette update: Wonderland

Here's a remaster of the dubious map by Fnork...

Not sure what prompted me to update this...but I did:

Wonderland (Indigo Raceway Palette)

Expect it in the rotation tonight, albeit, probably for a very, very short run.

Re: The Tuesday Night Event!

It's too early to be thinking about an event...or is it?

10 hours from now I'll have a clever challenge map up for us...but which one?

You can if you want to...

...however, if it's not glorious enough to motivate me to update the page, is it glorious at all?

Re: Timed run at Slipstream

I'm thinking that for general purposes that the maps on the leaderboard should be over 5:00 to start (and I'm pretty sure Morton is about a 4:30 map). If they get worked down from there, so be it but I don't think that we're going to be able to split hairs fine enough on tracks like "Twister&qu...
